The Jenesis House is seeking an experienced Chef/Baker. Applicants with a passion for food and who thrives off creating memorable culinary experiences are encouraged to apply. As the chef/baker, you will be responsible for providing our guests with the breakfast portion.
Job Summary: To be a successful, the ideal candidate should understand and be willing to comply with food and sanitation guidelines and regulations, be quick and diligent, and willing to improve on the job. You will be responsible for the preparation, execution, and clean-up of our made to order, gourmet breakfast. Our chef/baker is also responsible for the creation of our evening desserts. Other responsibilities include grocery shopping, upkeep of our 3 mini gardens, the preparation of guest add on packages such as gourmet picnics, charcuterie boards and cakes, the creation of breakfast and dessert menus that change daily and with season, all while maintaining a pristine workspace. This is a demanding, full-time, year-round position. Pay is based on experience and housing with utilities is available for the right candidate. Onsite working interview is required.

Duties and Responsibilities
Culinary school training would be advantageous.
Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook, baker or prep cook.
Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures.
Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks.
A team player with good communication skills.
Patient with an ability to stay positive under pressure.
Strong team working and communication skills.
Physical endurance to work long shifts in a busy environment.
Flexibility to work nights, weekends, & holidays.
Ability to work in stressful, fast-paced environment.
Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 40 pounds.
Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies.
Prepare food for service. (e.g. chopping vegetables, cutting, or preparing sauces).
Clean up station and take care of leftover food.
Stock inventory appropriately.
Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards.
Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.
Perform other kitchen duties as assigned.
